Our area of work has been spared from the terrible floods in North Bihar. Although these floods are an annual occurence for the last 20 or 30 years this year seems to have brought untold suffering. Let us hope that flood allievation measures will now actually be constructed and that this man made disaster does not occur on this scale ever again.
